KSP Post 2 in Madisonville Welcomes New Troopers


Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) – The Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville welcomes three new troopers. Trooper Ridge Porter, of Beechmont, KY, Trooper Brett Martin, of Belton, KY, and Trooper Trevor High, of Tompkinsville, KY, were among thirty-five cadets who completed a rigorous twenty-five week training academy in Frankfort, on February 1, 2019. The addition of this graduating class brings the agency’s strength to a total of 809 troopers serving the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Post 2’s new troopers will spend twelve weeks with a field training supervisor before working their assigned counties. Post 2 covers Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Christian, Caldwell, Webster, Todd, and Crittenden Counties.
