“We are pleased to announce the hiring of Rebecca Madding as Executive Director of Maiden Alley Cinema, effective March 2, 2020.

Maiden Alley Cinema is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1991 by The Paducah Film Society with a mission to provide entertainment, promote visual literacy, create cross-cultural awareness and promote filmmaking as an artform, dedicated to enhancing culture through film. It is one of four nonprofit arthouses in the state of Kentucky.

Rebecca is a 2015 graduate from Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English literature and is set to graduate this spring from MSU with a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Communications in May of 2020. Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Rebecca has been a faithful volunteer for the organization since 2014, and has served as secretary for MAC’s Board of Directors since 2017. Her skill set includes public relations, marketing, and strategic communications, which will be implemented in the numerous forthcoming films, events, community partnerships and relationships in MAC’s future.

Maiden Alley Cinema would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey and this transition into new leadership. Your contribution and service has been invaluable. For the MAC to continue to grow, it is the wonderful volunteers, audience members and donors that help us remain an outlet for foreign, documentary, and independent film in the western Kentucky community.”
